... I fell from our backyard zip line, broke my hip and had to have it replaced. Once I began physical therapy, I found I was really anxious about when I would be able to resume yoga and just what impact the replacement would have on my practice. ... I was a bit scared about starting up again, worried that I would do something to set myself back and being self-conscious about losing balance and loss of flexibility. That was when I decided to call Bradie and ask about some private lessons to both ease my fears and ease my way back into practice. She did an impressive and thorough job of researching my surgery, its impact on my body, and how to restart my practice. She looked at areas that needed strengthening, modifications of poses that might be necessary, and progressions to work through. It only took two sessions to get me ready to jump back into classes. She explained in detail as we moved from warm ups to poses just what to expect, what muscle groups we were impacting and how to modify poses to suit my comfort and ability level... But perhaps even more important than the research and knowledge she provided for my return to yoga was the understanding and encouragement that Bradie gave and continue to give me.
